FINAL IMAGES

FINAL IMAGES:

These are my final set of five images, I chose two outdoor images and two photographs that were produced in the studio. I chose the top image as I liked the light trails from the cars and how the sign is shown multiple times as the camera was moved. Around the image there is a slight haze which I think brings a 'foggy' look to the image which I like and is partly the reason I chose this photograph.

The second image is my personal favourite out of my five final images.
The blue/purple colouring to the image makes the image unique and even though there is not a specific light trail to the image, there is evidence of a long exposure being used. I discarded some photographs similar as they didn't have a light trail like the other four final images but I decided to keep this one in as it was my favourite out of them all. This image was shot within a moving vehicle and the car headlights can be seen at the bottom of the photograph.

The last three images were taken in the studio and the light trails were achieved using torches.

Out of the final three my favourite is the middle image with the person on the middle with lighting around the person in the centre. I like this image because the two people creating the light trails are blurred yet the person in the middle is so clear and 'still' and looks calm.

Outdoor Shoot (Scarborough)

SCARBOROUGH SHOOT.

Images

In order to get variety into my project, I decided to go to a town/city at night to photograph the lights. I chose to go to Scarborough to take pictures of the beach as along the seafront there are decorative lights. I also chose to go into Scarborough town center to take pictures of buildings in order to experiment.

To the right of the page there are images from the shoot that I think went well even though they are not light trails and therefore wont be used for my final images.

Images (to develop)

IMAGES TO DEVELOP.

This set of images are the photographs I picked as some of the best.
I have decided to discard the images that were shot in Scarborough town (the images of the theatre and seafront) as even though they are an example of long exposure, they don't show a light trail.

STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY:
The studio photography produced some of my favourite images out of all the photographs I took. I like the visual effect of seeing the people within the image as I feel it brings depth to the work.

BOKEH LIGHTING:
There are a few images which have an example of Bokeh.
Bokeh is:  the visual quality of the out-of-focus areas of a photographic image, especially as rendered by a particular lens

The images that use this technique are also some of my favourite images and like the Scarborough shoot are an example of long exposure however not an example of light trails and therefore will not make my final images.
